Sunds to me as if you may be exporting them as small email size.

When you're in your Aperture library page, at the top you can click on 'export original' or 'export version'.....this then brings up a dialogue box, and the top line is"Export preset'.......click on the arrow at the side and it offers a choice of sizes for your export......JPEG 1024 x1024 is a reasonable size to use for epz, or if you go to the 'edit' at the bottom you van make up your own size (epz automatically re-sizes them anyway, so it's not crucial)......one of the options in 'Export preset' is small email, and maybe you have that selected?

Are you storing your images in the Aperture library, or have you got them as referenced files on a hard disc? If they're referenced files, I wonder if you're exporting the thumbnail....just a thought.

If you are exporting from the desktop, then they will be the thumbnails. thats what it sounds like to me
