    Hello
    I have mislaid my manual for the lens I remember something about turning off the image stabiliser if I use it with a tripod is this correct as I want to do some shots in lowlight and need to use a tripod. what happens if I leave the I.S. on?

    Hi,

    IS on the 1-400 is not tripod aware so turn it off if mounted on a tripod, if not feedback will occur degrading any resulting image severely...
