A really nice layout of all the features...
Does anybody know the exact price, when it gets released in this country?
Canon reckon £6000.
Quote: Image was actually captured with a EF 85mm f1.8
no, it was captured with the 85mm f.12L MkII just shot at f1.8.
By bad, thought it was the EF 85mm Prime f1.8. Helps to read
heh, still not a bad pic or £7.5k of kit
On a similar vein here are the sample images from a EOS 1D markIII
Very smart indeed.
it's all too easy to get over excited when a new camera comes out - and we all forget that most of us already have cameras that are going to do a grand job, if we use them well.
That said, it's not the quality increase that will do it for me - it's things like the tunable auto focus and the dust reduction that will make the difference.
I think 21mp will make a difference too - as well as just about every uprated feature. It's just an astonishing camera in every way.
It's not for me, as it's a pro tool. But if I ever decided to go pro (semi-pro even), I'd have one of these in a heart beat.
Well done Canon really, the spec of this beast does not disappoint, and represents that they are still going in the right direction.

Actually the pixel jump will make very little difference.
I'm having fun touching up (PS you dirty minded ppl) this picture.
I've got to say the image is just great!
When does yours arrive Keith
I always leave it for 6months

Will it not extend the size of prints without interpolation a little more though, and give smaller prints a little more detail? I'm not suggesting astonishing differences, just there will be one.
Or is 21mp on a 35mm sensor already bypassing the resolution of the lenses?
