What length are you using it at Danny?
I recently bought the 40D and have used the Canon 50mm on it for portraits but much prefer the 70-200 at the 70 end.
What camera were you using previously? Have you found a big difference?

Hi Steven - I was using an old Canon d60 (6.3mp) with a 28-105mm F3-5-4.5. And yes - an amazing difference - the 24-105mm L lens has amazing sharpness and colour rendition - although that would be assisted by the 14 bit processing of the 40d. Definitely not dissapointed. I use between 70mm and 100mm for portait work.

Mine wasn't as big a jump. Went from the 350D but I definitely see an improvement in picture quality. The pictures have a lot more clarity now if that makes sense!?

Steven.
