I wonder if it will have this new sensor? "Canon develops world's first 120 megapixel APS-H CMOS sensor" (that is going to need a fast onboard processor and a new PC to handle the files! )

Well folks, the rumours are that it will have the sensor / metering system from the 550D and the processor from the 7D, plus a swivel 1080mb screen

Here is the bomb shell, and its a biggy - ITS IN A PLASTIC BODY

Not sure if this is all true, but if it is, might just hang on to my trust 50D

yep, my thoughts exactly. You buy a mid range / prosumer model because of the better quality body.

Was surprised when canon brough out the 7d, just seemed to be in competition with itself (550 & 50, or a poor mans 5D)

A full frame, 14 mp, that takes EFS lenses for about £1000 - now that would be flying off the shelves

Hmm I think their T&C violate UK distance selling so I will skip on that one. Sounds like a Grey importer
