A word of warning! I recently purchased a new toy, a Canon 7D, only to find out that my Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 HSM lens will not work on the 7D. This is not a camera fault, but a software problem in the Sigma lens. Ther are several other lenses effected too. Sigma 120-400mm OS being one. Sigma are apparently aware of this problem, and will re-chip any lens that doesn't function with the 7D. The best thing to do is take you're Sigma lenses to a shop and ask if you can try them out, if you're in the market for a 7D. Also I'm sure you are aware that Photoshop CS3 and earlier will not open a 7D's RAW files. To save the expense of an upgrade to CS4, go to Adobe.com and download their DNG converter, it's free and you can then open you're RAW files in CS3 or earlier. You'll need DNG 5.4 It works a treat!
Regards,
Paul.
I had to dump a Sigma 18-35mm lens a few years ago because it was not compatible with my then new EOS 20D. I was aware of this before I bought the 20D but it certainly put me off buying Sigma.
