I have a Canon EF-S 10-22mm f3.5/4.5 that has not got a date code as on other EF lenses.
Does anyone know of any way to tell how old this lens is?
Thanks in advance

Can you tell from the serial number? Check on line. I know you can for Sigma lenses.
He gives a method of dating the lens from the first two digits of its 10-digit serial number. However, MY Canon 10-22mm only has an 8-digit number, printed on the lens barrel. But the first two digits (63) give a date of February 2010, which is plausible since I bought it new in June 2010.
