    I read a translation of the message on Canon's site. It turns out that they think there may have been a reason for mirrors coming off 5D's that may indeed have been a fault in the build of said cameras and are in Japan offering a free repair should that happen to you.

    There were a few bits about having a good meal as well, but translation is never the easiest.

    Not rumour but a fact - is stated on both Canon UK and USA websites. Owners asked to send in cameras to service centres from Monday the 9th Feb if I remember correctly.

    Have you a link for the UK website as I didn't get any hits when I searched under "mirror" or "recall" . Ta!
