No probs, Koen, I just can't wait to get my mitts on it. I tried carrying my canon everywhere but it barely fits in my bag Grin I lasted about 2 weeks before i gave up so it'll be great to have a compact with me at all times.

Quote:I thught the same and ordered one too. 325 from amazon.co.uk (after cancelling my order at warehouse express 429!!!). Where have you ordered yours from and for how much as it's not too late to cancel the amazon order if it's cheaper elsewhere?

Tori, I ordered mine from cameras2u.co.uk
324.89 inc P&P. They seem to think they will have them in stock in 3 days but I'm not very hopeful.

So more or less the same price then. Amazon reckons dispatch date is 18th sept. I'm in no major hurry though. I can't believe warehouse express is selling it for a full 100 more. I've bought all my photoraphy gear from them in the past so they were automatically the first place to go to order the g9. That won't be the case anymore. Lesson learnt - shop around!

I've just ordered one from Amazon and estimated dispatch is the 13th on my ticket, fingers crossed.

Off on a long distance holiday shortly and it looked like an ideal replacement to my usual camera and heavy bag of lenses. Which would otherwise take up my entire hand luggage allowance!

I've also bought one of the lens adaptor widgets (LADC58H) which is designed to take their wide angle attachment but also takes any 58mm thread, so I can take my bag of filters. Ace.

Curses! Amazon keep pushing the delivery dates back, my inbox is full of apology notes. Now due 21st/22nd, stuff that, far too close to my off date. Have cancelled my order.

WarehouseExpress have them in at 359 and Cameras 2U should be getting theirs today at 324.80, I feel a price match coming on...

Or duty free abroad!

By chance I wandered into my local London Camera Exchange at lunch who had a few in and did me a G9 plus Crumpler Bag (worth 17) for 340. Sorted.

Now I've got to try and not play with it for the rest of the afternoon...

I do have a Powershot G3, now slow by modern standards. Looking longingly at the G9, but must wait until the price falls a bit.
