I have just bought a Canon Powershot S3 IS Camera and am unable to transfer the photos from the camera to the computer.
I am operating on Windows 2000, I have uploaded Windows Service pack 4, as suggested. The operating manual is hard to understand (for me, anyway).
Do I need to get into a menu in the camera that allows the transfer?
Due to the time difference, as I'm in NZ, I will not be able to get back here until tomorrow. I would appreciate some help or advice, as I've been trying to sort this out for two day days now and about to put a brick through the computer and the camera in the bin!. Thanks Pam.

Not sure what the problem is but there is an easier way to transfer the images to the computer. Buy a usb card reader(they are about£10.00 or cheaper in the UK) You simply insert the memory card and download from there.
Have bought a usb card reader, success! Thank you for your help. Cheers Pam
Glad to be of assistance
