My Samsung Wave takes reasonable (adequate?) images and is always in my pocket.
The downside is that it takes a couple of seconds to turn it into a camera.

It takes at least than to get pretty much any camera going............ surely?

I thought that after I'd posted that comment so I tried it against my daughter's Fuji compact and the time it took to remove each one from my pocket and have it ready to take a shot was about three seconds in both cases.
The compact's zoom capability is better, as in easier to use, though.
