Yes folks, it's time to see RED. Any macro shot where the predominant colour is RED-any shade of red. Hope this gives plenty of scope for varied entries.
I'll be out of Wi-Fi range next Sunday, so judgement will be on an iPad. Entries before next Saturday I'll be able to look at with a better screen than the iPad.

The Rules are:

1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. All images must be taken after the theme is announced.
3. The challenge runs from 8pm on the Sunday and runs until 8pm the following Sunday.
4. Only one upload per member.
5. Please feel free to comment on the entries once judging is complete.
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week challenge and the judge’s decision is final.
7. Have fun
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week.
8. Have fun

A gentle mid-week bump. Any subject that is predominantly red or reddish, be it, just for example, fruit, flowers, rubies, textiles.

I'm having a long look at the pictures courtesy of my wife's net book and dongle. Downloading is slow.

I'll be back in about 20 mins.

I've enjoyed looking at the fascinating variety of photos. Thank you all for your entries. I'll comment individually on each photo when I return home later in the week.

The winning entry showed spot-on focussing, dof, exposure and composition with an excellent choice of background. The bonus was the sparkling star-burst effects.

So, sorry to lumber you with the next challenge again, Stuart!Grin Congratulations on such a fine shot.

Regards to all,

Jack

Thanks for the kind comments Jack, much appreciated. Again the standard of entries was very good so well done to all who took part.

I'll give next weeks challenge some thought and post it in the forum shortly.

Regards, Stuart
