Hi folks
Im looking for cheap flights to USA, Phoenix, no accomodation required.
My mum was given an "estimate" a few months ago of about £550.00, now, the actual figure is almost £800.00.
I have looked on lastminute.com and can find some at £650.00, but wanted to ask if there are any other sites that may be worth a look at? More to the point, any sites that are good, or should be avoided at all costs.

Have you tried www.kayak.co.uk, they offer a wide selection, sometimes expedia.co.uk have special offers
It all depends on when you're going.
We've managed to get my step-daughter, her partner, & their baby a round trip of 10 days (Edinburgh - Washington DC Dulles via Heathrow) for a total $1500 (approx 995 Pounds) for March 23 by going direct to BA, booking last week. But it was done thorough the US site of BA not the UK variant, not sure if the prices are better booking from here in the US or not.
My wife checked out most of the internet deals & still BA were cheaper by $100 plus at the time of booking. Had it been a week later & Easter would've bumped up the ticket price to nearly $2000 an increase of nearly $500.
Just confirming what cmawson says. British Airways always gives me the best prices on my flights when I go to them directly.
I tend to book my tickets way in advance and try to take advantage of their regular sales but they often come up trumps at short notice too. I fly over to the USA at least six times a year and haven't found a cheaper ticket from any other airline in the last two years.
If you're looking for a short notice flight though you might be stuck for choice with it being so close to Easter - flight prices go crazy around the holidays.
Helps to be flexible about dates - prices can vary wildly depending on availability.
When are you going - and where from?
BA has a return journey just now, 20th April - 4th May for 487 pounds.
Cheapest option I can see is 29th March to 12th April for 624 pounds on BA.
