I'm no longer a regular visitor to the EPZ website, but when I do pay a call, a blessed Christmas tree gets in the way. There then follows a chopping down process, achieved - granted - with undue effort by clicking 'close'. But why must I do this when I didn't want the blessed tree in the first place?

    LOL....Grin Annoying for sure.....Sad

One way to avoid it is by staying logged in......Wink

    Works for me....Smile

But on the subject of Christmas trees, Don't you think its about time we all got real.....Grin There is no " Santa " .....Sad

So why do we butcher so many trees just for a few weeks decoration...?

If you must have a darned piece of greenery blocking up your living room, Why not make it an artificial one....?

Give the poor trees a break.........GGggrrrrr...!

Whoops, Nearly turned that into a rant about the gawd awful waste that is caused by the so called festive season.

Bah Humbug and all that jazz......Oh! by the way......!!!!!!!

    Merry Christmas....or is that Xmas.....Wink

As Ken Dodd might say ........ticklemas!

Regarding the use of artificial Christmas trees -

EPZ has obviously taken this to heart - imagine, if you will, that a live tree had to be erected each and every time a visit was paid to EPZ over the erection peri........ sorry, festive period? Vans chock full of trees would be out meandering on our motorways, accessing our 'A' roads and bolting down our 'B' roads to ensure the erection.....no, festive period was being adhered to.

So, congratulations to EPZ. We may be getting prompt erections in the comfort of our lounge rooms, but at least they're false ones.

    Now where's me chopper?

Conversely they plant a lot of trees for christmas and in their short life they absorb carbon dioxide .. so it may well be a positive carbon footprint as long as you dont burn em :o)

We also know that every fir tree dreams of being a christmas tree - shame to disappoint them :o)

I have had many a false erection in my living room but the wife insists on genuine ones now ... MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!

Sigh.......roll on the 12th bleedin' night m8 Tongue

On subject, we bought a "garanteed for life" tree this year and left the artificial one in the loft. This tree has been grown in the pot, not cut, dug up and re planted, and therefore the root system is iintact. If the tree dies by being moved inside/outside they will replace it, simple as that! Can't be badGrin

Just remember it'll still need some maintenance to prevent it becoming 'pot bound'
