80% of my photography is B&W and to date, I have been using B&W film and scanning the film, using a Nikon Film Scanner. The results have been very good. However, I still have to carry two cameras, one for each medium. I would be interested to hear what results people get from only using Colour Film and converting to B&W in Photoshop.

It can be done very well as long as you remember which colours will not look good. Shooting a red rose on a black background for example. I use a green filter in PhotoShop to enhance skys, I can't remember its name so will post that later. I also scan in on colour then change the mode to Lab Colour before finally going to B&W. It give you a far better print.
    Hope that helps a bit.

Thanks for that , Sepia, is the sharpness and contrast as good as that achieved with a B&W film?

I usually give the brightness and contrast a small tweek depending on the image.
The filter I use is by Flaming Pear and is called Vitriol. Basically it is a green filter with the same effect as one you would put across your lens when using a B&W film.
    Hope that helps a bit.
