Why don't you get an external hard drive and transfer a lot of you files and folders to that one and then defrag your internal drive. This will speed up your main OS drive.

I hope to be getting a new computer soon as this is nearly full and the graphic card is acting up !! So as a temporary measure ! Damian

Get an external and be done, will always be handy even with a new computer.

Its way too risky as its very easy to corrupt a file in the process

You lose, particularly if you are storing compressed files - which most image formats are....as bove best to buy an external drive

I wouldn't recommend it. I compressed my music folder on my hard drive and it got corrupted. Had to rip all my CDs again.
