all of cornwall has good aspects, but west penwith from penzance to lands end and around to st ives takes a lot of beating, you ve got stone circles, qoites, cliffs , moorland ,beaches , wildlife and penty more things to shoot, plus great food and drink . I know I live in Penwith
try these Zennor, porthcurno, sennen cove far end near gwenvor, zennor moors, plus every head land has different views and aspects , plus the changing light gives new impact to a mundane scene
drive from penzance through newlyn and mousehole to porthcurno then on to landsend , try walking some of the coastal footpath , then goe to sennen , drive from there to st just and on towards st ives,
further up the north coast near tintagel , try rocky valley and st necterns glen
A trip to Mousehole is a must. A picturesque fishing village near Newlyn.
Copek - I can second what ZenTog has said! And if you do "go right to the end", consider starting at Sennen instead of Land's End itself - much nicer and it's only about a mile walk to Land's End from there (and parking is cheaper!). A favourite location of a lot of togs on here (myself included!) is Porth Nanven, which is near St. Just.
Nickscape - personal favourites of mine near Newquay include Crantock beach and Polly Joke - 2 adjacent coves to the west.
2 tips for both of you - take your National Trust card with you if you're a member - it'll get you free parking at any NT location! And invest in the relevant Ordnance Survey maps so you can find all the suggested places!
Quote: Any Ideas of locations near Newquay ? Im going in 2 weeks and would like the names of other places except for the usual Holywell bay & Bedruthan Steps? Any locations would be much appreciated!
