No Ross, it was your idea, even if you didn't "see" the connection.
The reason I started the post is I'm trying to get a stimulus to finish an image in my minds eye before I actually collect all the source images.
When I started a recent project I started with this image I'm my minds eye (minus the dice) which I thought was a little too obvious / cliched - I then wrote a series of words associated with children and a dangerous situation - I wrote down (amongst many others) toys, toy box, gamble which lead onto dice. The image I settled on was This.
I'm just at a slight block at the moment I know what I want to convey in terms of the message, but I want to lift it away from the cliched.
LOL... Thanks Chris. No I'm extremely happy with them, probably my favourite images to date (of mine, certainly the gamble). The point I was making is I'm looking at another series, and just looking for other ways of conveying a message.
Just starting this thread has done that to a degree, similar to what Ian was saying. I was starting to think the literal rather than lateral (if that makes sense). The image I'm thinking about is one where I saw something a while back, I don't want to make a facsimile of it - rather use it as a start.
