Hi All, just wondering if anyone had spare couple of minutes to check out a Photo I added on to the Critique Gallery on Monday. As yet Ive had no feedback and as it is a first attempt at portrait I would appreciate any help, thoughts and comments. Im not easily offended so if it rubbish please say so.

    Thanks

    Neil

    Agree with Darren.

Camera angle too high and no eye contact. Try to imagine a plane running between forehead and chin, then use a camera angle perpendicular to that plane, level to the centre of the plane. Simply ask the subject to look at the centre of the lens.

    Very good first attempt though.

Nice soft lighting which suits the subject. Agree with the comments re. angle and eyeline. If the eyes were looking more up towards camera, the the slightly high angle wouldn't matter so much.
