    Depends on whether you are a Registered Pro or not Steve. If you are - 5 to 10 days. If not - don't hold your breath.

    I had my D80 repaired last month. I dropped it onto a hard floor from about 2 feet and this popped open the case.

    Nikon repaired the camera, calibrated the auto focus and generally restored the camera to 'as new' condition.

    I received the camera back 3 weeks after dropping it off at the Kingston office. It is possible to track your repair via the Nikon web site. The charges were very reasonable.

    All in all a very good service

    Try Fixation. They are the top independent Nikon (and Canon) pro repairers - and pride themselves on fast turnround - though they can be slightly more expensive than Nikon.
