There must be a formula for this, something like ... (not going to be able to do this ...)
Time between version releases, seems between 6 mnts to 3 years, so lets do it in months
erm, no, I'm right, I cant
If your trying to get rid of it, erm, I'll give you a quid for it, final offer
Although it was top of the range when it was a current model, it really does not compare with later mid-range models. A great camera with a VERY low shutter count but unless you can get it for less than about £600, you might be better going for a D300 at that price.
Oooops. I assumed the missing word was "pay". If it was "get", then my apologies.
Although the D2Xs is a very fine camera and perfectly serviceable for studio work, its high ISO performance is lamentable when compared with more modern offerings. Also, it's too old to have much street-cred.
The most reputable dealers tend to offer them with a 6 month warranty for about GBP750 but they would buy in for about 60% of this. In a private sale, the going rate will be a bit less.
Quote: buy it now price of £1,250
I doubt they will get any takers at that price, Lets face it you can get a brand new, With no acctuations D300s for £1097.00 from W/E, Plus a full 2 year warranty.
Nope the old D2Xs was a good camera, But its totally outclassed in both ISO & Resolution by something as simple as a D3100/D5100....!!!
Fleabay does have its dreamers though....![]()
Cameracat, I doubt you'd see the difference between 12MP and 14MPixels but you're right about the high ISO performance.
On Fleabay, some folks do pay a lot more than is sensible. Take a look at the Grays of Westminster secondhand list.
