Sorry about using a rose instead of Daffs but it is the Autumn here and Daffs are a bit hard to find.
I enjoyed the following the tutorial and am looking forward to the rest of the month.

This must be something to do with age I guess, but it took me six pages to arrive here! There must be a simpler way for the U3A folks...
Here's my effort though

Daffodils in full bloom at Westbury Court Garden, Westbury on Severn in Gloucestershire, taken last Easter
ok heres my upload for daffs this week was a good week for weather and the odd daff, i used a 70-200m f2.8 is usm ii lens on the canon 7d and went for a focal look hope you like.
its a long running joke between me and a friend about daffs and was so giddy when you posted the link for daff picture heres mine taken today but instead of the bog standed daff picture i inverted the pictures and now the daff heads look like butterflys taken handheld with a olympus e3 and a sigma 10-20 mm
