Last year we had huge numbers of Painted Ladies invade these shores, and the following are two shots of this wonderful butterfly taking on at Fen Drayton RSPB reserve last August.
I captured this on a school field trip last July.
These were taken on a recent trip to Kew Gardens and their butterfly exhibit.
Not sure these are butterflies as they were out in day but have a body of a moth...
