Today we're looking at taking photographs at air shows so we want to see all the shots of planes and helicopters you have. Do remember you can post images here at a later date if you don't have any shots of planes now.

If you're an e2 member you can post your results here while our free members can put them in the gallery.

Not a Mustang, Sally.Wink Even though I have over 20,000 hours, I'm not an aircraft enthusiast, but I'll ask my brother. I think it's a Harvard.

Grin There's a song there somewhere.

If it had retractable landing gear, Harvard. If not, it's a Yale. Wink

Not a WWII bomber, I'm afraid, it looks like a Shackleton, which was mainly a maritime patrol aircraft, Cold War, late 1940s until only a few years ago.

Yup, definitely a Shackleton .

Remember my dad building one as a 1:72 model many moons ago.

Thanks to everyone for the identification of the Shackleton. I'm afraid that when I take pictures like this I get so wrapped up in what I am doing that I forget to note what it is that I am photographing.

No prestigious pictures of aircraft in flight in my folio I am afraid. Although not taken at an air show as such this aircraft here has earned its place in history.
