This is a slab of marble which was being used as a bench in a field near Caunes Minervois where it is still mined. When polished up, this marble becomes quite pink and was used extensively to decorate the Palace of Versailles.

Taken near the Pasterze glacier under the Grossglockner mountain in Austria with a Canon pro1.

Taken at Burnmouth harbour, just above Berwick on Tweed. Can anyone give me some information on the type of rock this is in this area,i found it quite fasinating but know nothing at all about it......Mick

This is one for the `crop circle' community...how the hell did it get there????
