Today we are looking at castles so show us your ruined hill forts, beautifully preserved country houses and any other types of shot you've taken while visiting these majestic architectural delights.

A few shots of Caerlaverock Castle near Dumfries in SW Scotland. All were taken a few summers ago but hopefully these will encourage some photographers to visit as it's a lovely (triangular!) castle ruin with an interesting courtyard interior preserved enough to walk around and the colour of the red sandstone looks quite stunning in the right light. It's owned by Historic Scotland and I know re-enactments have been held here in the past.
