Here's something you don't see every day . . .

It's a Field Marshall Series 3 with a 5 litre (5,500cc.) single cylinder 2 stroke diesel engine.

To start it a lighted taper is inserted (somewhere!) in the cylinder head, then it's turned over using a very large starting handle or a cartridge similar to a 12 bore but without the shot!

It used to take three days, one to plough, one to harrow and one to drill the seed. Not it just takes the one.
