I just love old ruins…I have for the last 3 years tried different perspectives, development techniques, color vs B&W so here are just some examples
This one is from Lydford Castle in Devon (outskirts of Dartmoor).
This one is from Okehampton Castle, Dartmoor.
Salomon's Kapel on Bornholm.
Hammershus Slotsruin with a beautiful sunset (see also next photo), Bornholm
Watching the sunset through one of the windows of Hammershus Slotsruin.
Panorama of Kaloe Slotsruin in Denmark, a beautiful place outside the main tourist season
This photo and the next I took while I was walking to the office from my hotel on a business trip to Newcastle. Good thing to take your camera everywhere The atmosphere of the "typical English weather" just added to the photo I think - especially in B&W.
Last but not least and the same comment applies as to the one above. I think especially with ruins some post-processing (I like to use LR and Silver Efex) can enhance the atmosphere you feel.
