We're staying in the kitchen today looking through the cutlery drawer for interesting objects to photograph. See how we shot our cutlery then e2 members can upload their images here while our free members can upload images into the gallery.
You can learn more about Photo Month in our what is Photo Month thread.
Strange, completley un-related, but a coinsidence that I have just uploaded a cutlery shot... shamless plug ![]()
P.S.
The photo month thingy is an excellent idea.

Thanks Nikita - I couldn't get the camera to autofocus and didn't have my reading glasses handy so it was click and hope for the best
As for the mice - well there was a back leg and tail on the doorstep this morning so there's one less running around the place!
Well they're more than welcome to visit
The mice aren't much of a problem and hopefully will be just cold-weather visitors. The last cat I used to have hanging about here (neighbours) took absolutely no interest in anything - I showed it the place where they came in which must presumably have had interesting mouse smells but he ignored it.
Mind you the mice are beautiful little things......
My attempt.
The background is a sheet of rusty metal I've been maturing outside through the winter.
1 The spoon was placed on the background.
2 Camera position set up and lens focused.
3 Lights were switched off
4 Gorilla Torch fitted with black paper cone to narrow beam down.
5 Shutter open at 30sec
6 Torch used to paint around the edge of the spoon.
Notice the subtle deep shadow on the right caused du to the low angle of the torch.
I've gone dark to give emphasis to the shape and pattern of the spoon.
