Deleting images from XD card

Hi,
Been doing some spring cleaning with my family photographs I have around the house and decided to delete all the images I have on a memory card for my digital photo frame so I could add some new ones.
I deleted all the images through my camera and this seems to work fine. I then added new images but when I view them again on the photo frame the old ones are still there.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Card is a Fuji XD by the way.

In camea format? Sorry for being a bit thick but what's one of those?

I just hit the "delete all" button on the camera. Should I be doing something else?

There's nothing held on the frame so it's not that.
