Amazing how much goes into a camera, even an old film one!

I can remember in the late 80's borrowing my friends manual on repairing Pentax film cameras as I had a problem with my old ME Super. It would have probably taken a trained technician about an hour at most to repair it where it took me a couple of weeks!(in my spare time)

Got there in the end and vowed never to do it again!

With my cars I always tell people its a way of making them go faster as the bits I fail to put back on/fall off as rust makes it lighter and so more environmentally friendly plus faster Tongue

I once saw a notice posted in a camera repairer's reception, it read:-

Normal labour rate - £40 per hour
While you wait - £60 per hour
If you want to watch - £80 per hour
If you want to help - £100 per hour

If you've already worked on it yourself - £120 per hour

I tried to do this a couple of months ago and I can tell you to arrange all the pieces as well as that is nearly impossible, I gave up, he must have a very steady hand.
