Some. Most (that have been created for the film) tend to sound better when listening while you're watching the film.

Ones I listen to without the film
Popol Vuh any - Cobra Verde is my favourite)
    Vangelis BladeRunner
    Lisa Gerrard parts of Gladiator
Sound track to Two Hands (film with Heath Ledger)
Anything David Lynch with Badelemanti ( Julee Cruise)

Generally no because I agree wiht Pete that they sound better when watching the film.

There are two types of OST - one has a lot of the incidental music others concentrate more on the songs/music in the film. Two I enjoy are in the latter category: Good Morning Vietnam and Swing (Lisa Stansfield has a great voice for that type of music)

Loads and all sorts, a wide selection of Bowie soundtracks as well Smile

My old one from the film Christiane F is probably worth a bit now.

    Vangelis BladeRunner
    Lisa Gerrard parts of Gladiator

both superb, also the OST to lord of the rings and black hawk down are both good.

Hans Zimmer stuff seems popular at the mo, but as Pete says, best while viewing a film.
