Does God really exist ?

I am posing the question following a debate on "The next life".........Seems I opened up some strong opinions there, taking the original thread off course. So if anyone wants to contribute an opinion here it will relieve pressure on the original thread!!


My own opinion is very firmly YES God not only exists but he is the creator of the universe and that His word ( the Bible ) is true.

Its not that I dont think there could not be a God. It is just that if he does exist I feel he has been hijacked by religon and by those using it to manipulate and control people. No offence to any religous people.

Genesis 29 ;
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

Genesis 30 ;
And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

SO WHY IS CANNABIS ILLEGAL ... DID GOD GET IT WRONG?

No - especially as 'Him'

If anything - and I do like to think there is something after death - its and energistic force more like the 'force' to, e.g principle of conservation of energy, where does thought energy go etc that we have given a name and human form

Bible - merely common sense stories - much like Aesops fables with some political spin of the day.

But I actually think religeon does more good than harm, think of the people who are NOT warmongers and murderers because of religeon rather than the small minority who are.
