Quote: If you want someone to look out for this while you're away I'd be happy to take it on.
Thanks Penny. I shall hopefully have a good idea by the 29th as to who is interested. If you could just answer anyones questions etc. while I'm away I'd appreciate it.

Saw this in this weeks Western Gazette......
Mr & Mrs Swan (of Abbotsbury) are proud to announce the arrival of the first baby swan of 2007 at The Swannery 15th May, 350 grams.
In the area last Sunday so called in at 5pm. £8 to get in and they closed at 6 so did not bother. Will be there with Danielle for the carnival so could stay over and meet on the Sun.
Sunday sounds the most likely then? Can everyone who thinks they are coming say whether Sunday is ok.
Well, I'm off down to Cornwall until Saturday 9th so Sunday is the day for anyone still interested. We should all know where to go and if we say meet there at 10:30am and take it from there.
Hope to see a few people there.
Any queries while I'm away and Penny should be able to help.
I went on Friday,(1st June) loads of Chicks, or whatever baby swans are called, feeding times are midday and 3 ish, where around 300 swans come together for food, the only problem i found was that they let all the kids feed the swans so be quick to get a good spot, or you have kids bloking the good views,my last upload is from there! hope this helps
( Ooops! Thought we were in a different thread for a moment there.... )
I was there Sunday past and it was very busy. Managed to get a couple of good shots though. The ideal time I found was at feeding time, as you can then sneak off to quieter parts while everyone is at the feeding area.
Is this going ahead as i might just come along on the Sunday?
We'll be there.
What time are we meeting Rob?
It's time to rally the troups.
Rob might not be well enough to make the weekend so I've promised to help out.
Please confirm on this thread (or pm me, pennyspike) if you are hoping to make it .
I suggest a 10.30 start at the Swannery. They feed the swans at 12, fun for the children but photo ops are a bit difficult so it's probably best to take Kris's advice and use the quiet time elsewhere to get the family groups.
There are plenty of landscape opportunities in the surrounding area if you want to spread your wings. I'll be pleased to show you some of them.
Look forward to seeing you and Get Well Soon Rob.
I'm still up for it.
Does anyone actually believe Keith will turn up................
he is in the area Cathy, so yes he could show is face......
