I have a new I mac, and no matter what camera i use, it says my DPI is 72. I need 300 for some newspaper work i'm doing. Does anyone know how to do that without photoshop?

What software are you using to edit your shots on the iMac?
Don't get hung up on dpi etc when sending shots to the press, just send them your edited shots as full size(i.e not interpolated up or down).

Open it in photoshop and then see what the dpi is.....i think you'll find its 300dpi but your screen shows it as 72dpi.

I have an imac and my photos are all 300dpi - but shown as 72dpi becuase of the screen (like most computers)
