Is it just me but does Panasonic using the initials DSLM for their EVF mirrorless cameras sound a bit like a feeling of inferiority - the're not DSLR's but if we make them sound similar some of the "mystique" might rub off lol

You could say that about virtually any thread on this chatroom, Teepee. But surely the essence of our trivial discussions is that someone, somewhere, might actually be stimulated into thinking about the photography issues of the day. Some may care more than others about any particular topic.

DSLM....

There was me thinking it stood for " Digitally Small Little Mirrorless "

Keith has it nailed though, A compact is a compact is a compact, Its just that some compacts are not as compact as other compacts, ie: Little compacts & Large compacts, Even Medium compacts.

Never been a fan of things so small you need a magnifying glass to work them, Never really rated " Little & Large " either, Totally unfunny.....

Would you class the old OM1 as a compact, it was compact compared to other SLR`s of the period

CSC`s are DSLR`s without a mirror box.
