Ok, folks. The nice people at Temple Bar Cultural Trust are organising A Midsummer Celebration including :

Sat @ 2100 - Fire Entertainment (Bonfire, Fire juggling, Fire Dancing)

Sun @ 1100 - Samba Drummers
@ 1200 - Traditional Irish music
@ 1630 - Maypole Dancing (Maypole, not the other sort- don't get too excited)

Also, food, books, flowers, hats and jewellery stalls all day Sunday.
All in Meeting House Square, Temple Bar.

Now, it seems to me this would make for a good photo opportunity.
Also, it's a weekend - which may suit some who work regular hours.

Anyone interested ?

Great to have a weekend meet but it's another thing to have it at such short notice.....................like the rest of them, maybe a bit of forward planning and organise something a few months in advance, you WILL find that more people will be interested.

BTW, I'm out too, already have something planned for that weekend.

Barry I think you may be taking things the wrong way. It#s quite easy for people living in Dublin and the surrounding area to join up for a meet. But for people living up north or abroad it is not. Lets put it this way at the Doolin meet there were people from Wales, England, Scotland and even Irishman made his way directly after coming off a plane from america. It's not just the dubs who want to go to Dublin meets. So when people say it is a little short notice, sometimes it is.
