I'm hoping to spend a weekend in Bray and was wondering if anyone knows what time the M50 traffic calms down on a friday evening? I hope to be leaving Belfast at about 4.30pm ish

Also what's the traffic like on a Sunday afternoon for coming home?

Am very familiar with M50 and its prettywell sorted by around 19:00 (dont forget the Toll). As for Sunday either make it early or later.

However, I live in the UK and if you think the M50 is bad I recommend a trip around the M25 about 17:00. The M50 is a doddle in comparison............... {8o)> €olin

The M50 is no longer the traffic mess that it once was. It moves well at all times since they replaced the toll booths with barrier-free tolling. You'll need to pay the toll at a newsagent or similar though, within 24 hours of using it, or they'll lob extra costs and fines on top. And they'll chase you all over Europe for the money!!!
    Enjoy your stay!

True, although I live in the UK I have registered my car plate number with the operators E-Flow and when I go thru the toll it just docks my bank account once a moth. Wel worth registering to save other hassle. €olin

Interesting concept, paying road tolls with moths. Bet Ade osman would enjoy that sort of motoring.
