I bought my 60D from EPZ but only after it was mentioned in the forum by the seller. So I think you make a good point.

I realise that this could be blindingly obvious BUT, why are some classified entries yellow and some not?

You can choose to highlight your ad when you upload it. Some do, some don't.

Quote:I might be selling some equipment soon. It occurs to me that the epz classifieds are good because the people here are exactly the kind of people most likely to buy my stuff. What puts me off is that I don't think there's the audience that I would get

I have had some excellent results from the classifieds in the past, but had my Canon 300mm 2.8 IS on offer and not one response

Which reminds me, I must remove it, as I have sold it by other means

I think site like this, where people are sometimes able to go to your portfolio and see the photographs you've taken with the equipment, should generate more enquiries. There's also a trust thing where people have been here for years and years and you feel as if you 'know' them better than a guy on eBay.
