What do you look for in a photo when desiding to give an EC? its seems imposible to achive, but it is obviously not because people get them every other day.

Its best not to think about it. What criteria do you have for clicking a photo that appeals to you?

nj - if you really want to know more about this, there is a very recent thread that you can look at. I think it was "vanishing EC". That will give you a good idea of how contentious an issue this is. It has been discussed at length quite regularly. If you have a specific question, of course everyone will try and help.

i know it is a talked about subject but i want to know if it is just pete's personal choise based on what pleases him, or from a technique point of view based on how good the photo is. if it is his personal choise i could not care less if i got an EC, but if it is on technique i find it very desirable.

As kyd said in her post, the most recent discussion on this subject was 'Vanishing EC', which is still being updated and so is in the page of recently updated threads. I'd recommend you read 'Vanishing EC' ( here ) as I think you'll find your question was both asked and answered.

Oh no, not again! Just read the blurb at the top of the Editor's Choice page... It's whatever happens to float his boat at a given moment in time.

    Julian,

Take pictures to please yourself not Pete - there is always a chance that what pleases you, if done well, will please Pete.

Now this horse is officially flogged to death.
