I have a City and Guilds in Essential Electricity, and an O level in Child Development.

This would explain why, when I was very pregnant with first baby I managed to get thrown across the garden after touching a live wire with steel wool during some outside DIY.

"Baby" is 8 next month and not showing any signs of permanent damage.

Bit of a mixture and probably a complete waste of time when I see what people who didn't go to uni are doing. However the Edinburgh job market is really snobbish and you need a degree for everything - even to work in a bookshop for about 5 an hour!!!

Still out there looking for a job - does a degree really matter?!!

Cert, BSc, MSc all in nursing. Am just about to start a PhD (again in nursing), will make me the lowest paid, highest qualified nurse I know, though there are more of us around. The only trouble is that I will have to give up EPZ to do PhD, EPZ just takes too much of my time!!!
