Is it possible to merge photo's together and produce HDR images within Elements. I'm still getting to grips with the whole thing so apologies if it a bit of a daft question. If so, how do I go about it?

I think you can crudely take 2 shots and combine them - not tried it yet.
Menu at the top left and one of the sub menu's i think.

It is quite simple to merge several layers taken at different exposures, with areas erased to produce an HDR image. Alignment of the layers has to be done manually, so a good tripod and auto bracketing is a good way to work.

However "Tone Mapping" is something completely different and is what some people consider to be "HDR" this will be done a lot easier with a dedicated program.

    Have fun
