Can't find this but I'm sure someone has asked before. I currently have Elements 5. I see 7 is now available. Is it worth upgrading to 6 or even to 7? The review I saw a couple of days ago wasn't too promising on 7. Thanks. And to those celebrating, Happy Thanksgiving. Look out Turkey and stuffing. Here I come!

Can't see any point in getting elements6 if I was you I would go straight to 7 but if you're happy with 5 and it does want you want then stay with it.

You need to find out what additional features Elements 6 & 7 have over 5, and then decide whether you need them.

6 added photostitching so you can make panoramas from several linked photos.
Not sure what else was added to the mix

Didn't 6 add RAW processing? I think it also added a few more features from regular PS that previous versions didn't have - curves might have been one of them. I upgraded from 4 a while back to 6, so I can't really remember, sorry!

Elements 7 does add a bit and is probably worth the upgrade. I know I would if they did it for the Mac. v6 did not seem to offer enough to me.

As said have a look at what it can do.

I still use version 3, and it has everything but curves, which I've used, and find tedious for an old man. Thinking about 7 though. They still offer a discount to anyone with a legit prev version.

It's easy to make the decision, they provide a 30-day free trial of the full program.

I've got V4 and would like to upgrade to 7 - it's a legit version that I have so how do I go about getting a discount on 7 ? Can anyone tell me how and where to buy from ?

From here :

Quote:All images must be:

* JPEG format (.jpg at the end)
* RGB format (not CMYK)
* no larger than 770x150 pixels in size
* no adult or explicit material especially any that include Pete Bargh
* no advertising material

Does that help?
6 added gimicky things, like fancy heart shaped borders.
Not a lot that a serious photographer would want to use except the stitching.
