I have installed PSE 9 and have found that in the organizer the menu bar (Edit, find, etc) is not showing but is accessed by an invisible button which only appears when the cursor hovers over it. Is there anyway to make the menu bar show permanently along the top left?

Photoshop elements 9 organiser is the worst piece of software i have ever used.... i would recommend using the editing half of the suite, and forgetting the organiser even exsists.... and use another organiser like (if you are a nikon owner) view nx2 etc, as PSE9 organiser is slow, and crashes all the time.... and even doing alot of delving about it, it seems there are hundreds of people all having the same problems, and coming up with the same conclusions as me.
Maybe your version / system mix is going ok for you, but i would still use something else.
I gave up on the Organiser a long time ago for those very reasons :-(
So do I assume from the lack of an answer that no one knows?
I found this for you to try:
Assuming your are using Windows 7 or Vista
1. Right Click on your Desktop
2. Click Personalize
3. Click Display (on lower left of Personalization window)
4. Select Smaller - 100% (default) - selecting Medium and Larger will not fit the menu bar items due to large fonts.
5. restart PC
if Solution 1 fails
1. After performing solution 1
2. open your Photoshop Elements Organizer 9
3. Edit > Preferences > General > check "Use System Font" option.
if its already check, uncheck it.
4. Restart Elements Organizer 9.0
Thanks. Using XP, unfortunately neither worked.
I was mucking around trying to replicate your problem, which I think I have. The way I got back to having the main organiser on screen was simply to press "Esc". If I am right I think all that has happened is that you have gone into "View, Edit, Organise in Full Screen" mode (i.e. the F11 key may have been pressed). So press "Esc" - it's worth a try. Hope it works.
Nope, organizer menu bar still invisible.
Very strange. Try reinstalling it.
I have solved the problem. Apparently if you have the screen resolution above 96dpi then it does not show. Mine was set to 120, I have reduced to 96 and it is now visible.
Good to know! Thanks.
