I left a job because I sent an inappropriate message to the new Top Boss asking how a new system was going to be run as I hadn't been given any new instructions and I was getting hassle from everyone.
It wasn't rude, just wrong message at the wrong time to the wrong person. He wasn't pleased. Some idiot in the office had told me he was the person to ask, so I did. How stupid am I?

Or if internal talk to IT and see if they can help - sometimes they can Wink

Or if a rude joke email you set to a few colleagues got forwarded on by one idiot who though it was just too good not to share with "all staff" . The run to the Boss's secretary and explain why they need to login on you're behalf to avoid offence.

We all make mistakes so live and let live!
