Yes, very, it seems to do everything I want at the moment (well in terms of photograpy anyway!), though if you have larger than average hands you might find it a little uncomfortable to hold ...

EDIT: There are plenty of reviews around, and it is possible to download the manual from the Canon US website (it's known as the Digital Rebel XTi in the US). (I don't know why Canon UK don't have (or link to) the downloadable manuals).
i got goalkeepers hands a the 400d is comfy, i bought a grip from link delight off ebay cost me £52 and its the pro one, came from far east and was at my door 4 days after it was ordered, top service.....and cheaper than if i bought over here
)
Does anyone else have the same problem with the 400d as me, or is it common with all cameras. every time i look through the viewfinder, my nose has to press against the glass screen, and therefore smears the glass every time i take a pic. it is a real pain when looking at the pics i have just taken.
I thought the eyepiece may be able to be pulled out a bit like i have seen on digital video cameras, but mine does not seem to be able to do that.

hi Glynn
After your question you emailed me, I thought I would look through your portfolio (which is great by the way)
I am 6ft, big hands (some say) and I find the 400D size OK, however I am considering the extra battery holder/grip etc to enhance the camera size and battery life etc.
I hope that helps
Jason
Jason, are you saying i have a big nose? are you psychic?
anyway, the eyepiece seems to have a finger grip on each side of it as though it can be pulled out away from the screen. I have tried to do this but cannot, or am i not doing it right.
Can it be moved or not? Can anyone help?
Paul
