    My Eos5 body feels sticky on the battery cover,the rest of the camera covering is fine.Can I clean the cover without damaging the cover?

    covers plastic should be ok most of them pull off anyway to fit a battery holder

    Canon are recalling cameras with this problem.Check on the website to see if yours is one of them

    I think you'll find that only applies to 650D's

    Thank you for comments,I did leave the battery in the film camera for a while so whether that has anything to do with the cover feeling sticky,could well be the problem.would meths or white spirit cure this problem?I still use this camera from time to time just to see how it compares to my digital 5d with the same lenses!

    Old grips can go a bit like the old foam light seals, might be worth replacing.
