A 5D - and Picasa!!!???
Will this work with the D3 that I asked Santa for? ? ?
Ha ha he he............Thud.........
Try the RAW converter that came with the camera.
so...forget pisca2..(yeah, ok its a free bee from google)...but what about photoelements3..it does say on the disc..raw..or do i have to spend bucks on photoshop???
hi cambirder....ive still got the box..whats it look like???
Serious post this time, Do as Cambirder has suggested and load the RAW convertor from the disks that came with your camera, OR ask Santa for a nice new copy of Adobe Photoshop CS3.
Its a black CD with Canon printed on it. It has a number of programs on it including Digital Photo Professional which is what you need.
If you cant find it you can download it from the Canon UK website.
hi all...there was only 2 disks in the box and i put them both in the computor when i got the camara...will stick them in again and see if i have missed something..otherwise i will see if i can get a download from canon...
The guys are pointing you in a good direction. Try a later version of Photoshop Elements (5 or 6) and this will allow you to use the later versions of the Adobe Camera Raw plugin albeit with some reduced capability.
Your 5D should have come with several programs incluing Digital Photo Professional (there are updates to that program to download) and Zoombrowser. The latter has a facility to download the images from the card. Now, you don't want to connect the camera to the PC, the WIA driver only works for JPEG, you want to use a card reader that will show up as an additional drive on your pc. Put your card in, open the DCIM folder and you will see the sub-folders containing your raw files.
I suspect this may be where your problem lies.

works for me in this mode!!

But its a carp way of doing it get a card reader.
Elements 3 will read raw files. Is the problem getting them onto your PC or just opening them once they are there?
