Cross posted with you Pete. Yes my company sells to book shops like Waterstones and we've got an online bookstore.

Trouble with many bookstores is that they don't buy centrally so marketing to them is very time consuming. Individual managers choose which specialist books to buy in and I'm afraid an ephotozine book would fall into that category.

Just spotted this, and think it sounds an excellent idea. My elder son is Operations Manager for one of the large book distribution companies, so I could run it by him tomorrow for his input.

Wow! Looks like between us we have some good key skills. Looks promising! Maybe we have several people joining in as project managers.
We could even maybe do it as a charity thing too so all proceeds go to some good cause and maybe we could get some press coverage and and and... I'm quite excited by thisSmile

I'm up for it and enthused too. Smile

Surely emap would be a good source of advice, Pete? I do IT work for a publishing company, so any queries I can run past the bods there...

And did you say the phrase 'Project Manager'? Well, it's funny you should mention that...

I'm very willing to be counted in for any advertising legwork / writing anything / publicity / proofreading / etc.

I'll talk to me friends at Focal Press, Hodder and Rotavision to get some quotes for print costs.

I have many contacts in publishing and Northern Distribution. Of course, if the book was going to be on the right paper, get ready to shell out serious money.

Well, what an idea...
I'd be interested in an ePHOTOzine book/Annual. Not sure I have the skills to help develop the project, but I can always put my money up for a copy if it can be worked out.
