Does anyone have any recommendations for printer repairs.

I have an Epson R2400 - I live in Huddersfield. I've looked at Epsons website and they recommend one in Liverpool, but it looks like that as now closed.

Gareth it came across wrong. I have a problem with clogged heads. Ive tried head cleaning solution but to no avail. I just want it sorting.

Clogged heads, you can lift the head out and set it in a saucer of cleaning fluid over night and then flush it problem solved. Running head cleans as it sits will make it worse. On my 1400 and 1280 etc it is a matter of removing 4 screws pulling the ribbon cable and lift it out. Google it and im sure there is a step by step video on it for the 2400 also.
Been doing this for years for myself and other people.
But if your not comfortable doing it then yes a repair shop is in order and they will do the same thing or charge you for a new head, which is not needed.

It did't come across the wrong way I just laughed at the comment.

Many moons ago I cured the clogged heads of an elderly Epson Printer by removing all the inks then using a cotton bud and near boiling water to wash them through....Power Off of course:

When my Epson R300 broke down I rung Epson and they told me to take it to pudseycomputers.co.uk. It is still running today.

    HI Nick

I've removed the head out of my 2400 in the past but if it goes again I might consider using a service.

Lets us know how you go on at Printer medics
